Our whirlwind trip to California to see our daughter and son-in-law before the baby arrives turned out very well. One day while the men cycled, we walked again along Manhattan Beach where over-the-top homes are the order of the day. I think I’ve photographed most of the doors and gates that are to be seen from The Strand, the walking/cycling path that goes between the homes and the beach. But this one is worth showing again (closer than previously). The “house” that goes with it is much like a villa in Italy or elsewhere, really not giving off that homey vibe. But oh, the door!

This classic was parked along the part of the path that’s in Redondo Beach. Looks like three oldsters here, but not sure if they’re all classics. 🙂

A much more modern look to this set of doors, a nicely matched set.

This edition of Thursday Doors is once again brought to you by Dan the Doorman on St. Patrick’s Day 2022. Enjoy responsibly. 🙂 Sláinte!

Good trio but the first one is my fave – very handsome
I love the old car!
Gorgeous doors on that house. Liked the car – took me back in time. Liked your comment about the three oldsters.
Those doors at the top are remarkable, but yeah, kinda like coming home to the own office building. I love seeing the 62 Falcon. Cars survive pretty well in the absence of snow, ice and salt. It must be a wonderful place to walk.
I enjoy your photos from California. I like the doors, but that Falcon is a throwback. Very cool
The first door is very fancy, and I like the tuck an roll upholstery on the car door!
love that old car, Janet
and cool that you caught the door open
Beautiful doors, especially the first one. The old car is really cool!
Love those doors!
Thanks very much, Sue. I enjoy finding them but we didn’t have much time this trip. 🙂
😊😊
I especially like that first one, lovely find.
It’s a beauty. The house it’s part of is so large as to be almost unbelievable for a single dwelling and right next to the large house next door!

love the first door
Thanks, Tanja. It’s a beauty and suits the house.

Over the top -sure, but maybe because I like classic cars, I would rate the car door higher than under the radar:):)
Unfortunately, those three designations weren’t in order. The car is the classic and the two doors that match, the large and the small, are the under the radar. I like the flow of the title the way it is but realized after I did it it was probably deceptive.
Oh, I like that car! (K)
It was pretty nice!

Love the first door especially with the ornate lamps to both sides. Great classic car! Looks like a very nice walk. 🙂
Thanks, Brenda. I’m glad you enjoyed my choices this week. The walk is outstanding–ocean on one side, sights on the other. 🙂
