Almost every day includes a walk with the grandson in a stroller, whether pushed by me or by his mom with me walking along. We like to walk either on the path along the beach or one above the beach along the street. I was frustrated the other day when I couldn’t get from the street to the upper walkway. We went down one path only to find four steps at the bottom, not anything I could get the stroller down and no one walking by offered to help. But I did find this door that I liked a lot so all was not lost…and we had an excellent walk anyway, just long than expected.

There really aren’t two sets of doors one above the other here, even though that’s how it appears.

The sun didn’t cooperate in this photo but you can still get a good idea what the door looks like and the attractive numbers of the address.

Some of you will be sad to learn that the yard with all the tiny houses/doors isn’t sporting any new ones. Dan, thanks for being the door-key-est host around (and I mean that in the nicest way possible.) Speaking of playing with words, anyone else doing either Wordle or Waffle? I finally gave in to my husband’s insistence that I’d like both and have been enjoying them, Wordle often and Waffle once a day, as that’s as soon as a new one arrives.

What does your daughter say about you taking photos of doors all the time 😄
Yes i play wordle and quordle everyday and send results to my daughter
Wordle and a coffee is how I start my day
My family’s used to me stopping all the time to take pictures of doors. 😉. I haven’t tried Quordle, but I do enjoy Wordle.
It’s very frustrating at times isn’t it
Wordle I mean
🙂 It can be but it’s fun.
Stroll by doors or as the police like to say, stalking 😂😂
Yikes! I certainly hope not, although that’s how I sometimes feel when I try to take pictures of peoples front doors. Lol.
Haha – Thanks for labeling me as door-key, Janet. Somehow, I think it fits.
Sorry your stroll was interrupted, but I’m glad you set the frustration aside to snag these photos.
Well, my stroll wasn’t exactly interrupted, it was just made longer. But there are certainly worse things!
Four doors in one shot is a nice find! And waffle…need to look at this one, thx for mentioning.
Waffle is fun.
Great examples
Thanks, Sheree. I appreciate you taking time from your trip to visit and comment. 🥰
No probs
It does look like there are two doors there! I play wordle and qwordle but haven’t heard of waffle. Must research.
That you didn’t get help from passersby, sounds like California! But it’s the same in the Netherlands, so I am uses to it. Sounds like a good and relaxed time with your daughter. Does she like this place better than the one before? I like beach streets:)
They like where they are because it’s near the beach and in a cute little area. Her husband likes to surf and his parents live about five minutes away. There were some things they like better in Pasadena but all in all, they really like where they are.
That’s special in this big metropolis. Happy for your daughter:)
Looks like a lovely walk. Love the wood doors. And I would mention that is not typical of all Californians to not help–it could just be due to some still trying to stay away from each other due to Covid. It happens. (I would have helped!) I’m off to play Wordle now actually…and going to research Waffle.
I know that not all Californians are like that and that it’s probably not even typical. I think you’ll enjoy Waffle. I see you have Sundevil in your email address. Does that indicate a current or former connection to Arizona or is it something else entirely? Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment.

I am a sundevil! Got a bs in bio and a masters from them, and I taught bio there. My kids are both sundevils too. I’m from California but lived in AZ for 21 years. Super glad to be back in CA! 😎
We moved from the Midwest to Arizona a few years ago to be there for my parents. I’m visiting our daughter, husband, and new grandson in Redondo Beach right now. Not missing the 110+ AZ heat!
If I could live in Redondo, I would! It’s beautiful there. I’m a little inland, but definitely not like AZ weather. I don’t miss that! Also, I’d say that people from Midwest are way nicer. My son lives in Omaha now. Everyone is so nice there. 😎
I grew up in Omaha and went to school in Seward.
Small world! 😎
What a great opportunity to photograph doors, Janet. I really like these.
Thanks, Sylvia. It’s a pretty good combination: grandson, walking, beach, doors, flowers. 😁
What a bummer about the stairs. I remember having to find new routes for walking when I was pushing a stroller to avoid stairs.
Word games. I haven’t played Wordle or Waffle but I do play Crossword Jam more than once a day. I’m addicted to that and a couple other games on my phone.
I like crosswords. I’ll have to look that up. Is it an app or just online?
It’s an app.
I especially like that first wooden one, with the plain, rustic look.
I like that one a lot too.

Janet, a delightful and cherished time with your grandson. I love your doors. There is a story behind everyone. Cheers Virginia
Thanks, Virginia and happy Thursday. It’s been a good trip and I have almost a week left. 🙂 Always good to have you drop by.
Those daily walks with your grandson will instill a love of the outdoors in him – wonderful!
I’m pretty sure he’ll enjoy the outdoors. 😁
I like the geometry and the simplicity of these doors. I’ve always liked those half-circle windows. (K)
Thanks. I’m glad you like them.

Lovely that you can spend time with your grandson and get photos too! I play wordle and quordle everyday
It’s been fun so far. 😉
Wonderful😊
