Glad you enjoyed it, Judy. I never expected to see a pet turtle taken out for a walk along the ocean, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. They didn’t have to worry about him running away off leash. Lol.
It was a beauty, although not the typical pet you see walking near the beach. I’ve heard and read about the turtles hatching. That must be quite something to see.
Well he is a big fellow (or she/gal) ! Was it truly a pet on a walk or were you kidding Janet?? As alice mentioned our giant turtles are beginning to Hatch here in SC and they really are amazing. The moms are gigantic and the babies are really tiny. It’s amazing any of them ever make it! More interestingly they find their way back to the beaches where they were born. And we think we’re clever! Where would be be without google maps I ask you!!
It really was a pet. My daughter and I were looking at it, wondering what it was doing there and the owner was nearby and told us. Quite unusual to say the least. 😉
As for the turtles, God built in their GPS’s, no extra charge. 😁
Yes, one of the more unusual sightings during that trip. I did see several dolphins but as I only had my phone at the time, that wasn’t going to work out well. :_)
Oh, cool!
Someone had actually brought their turtle there to let it walk along the wall. They told us as we walked by. Interesting.
Oh!
I know. It was interesting to say the least.
😄😄
Perhaps we should all slow down to enjoy the beauty!
An excellent idea, Aletta.
☺️
Looks a great stroll. And he’s definitely dressed to attract attention 😀
Someone actually brought him there to walk along the wall, just like any other pet. It was quite funny.
🙂 So beautiful! Happy weekend, dear Janet!
Claudia xo 🙂
Thanks, Claudia. You as well. 😘
Absolutely wonderful in several ways for those of us who have slowed down a little, love turtles and the beach. Good Saturday post, Janet. 🙂

Love those waves. A perfect place to enjoy.
It’s a good view.
WOW 😮 that is a big turtle. He’s got a super view as he travels.
An interesting pet to take for a walk, that’s for sure.
HA HA
The turtle nests here in South Carolina are hatching. Beautiful animal

very cute turtle!
And an unusual sight! How often do you spot a turtle out for a walk as a pet? 😳
Rarely if ever! Quite a large, beautiful turtle.
I thought so too.

When I first saw this guy, I wondered if she/he was real! Beautiful animal & view, Janet! 🌞

My fam!
🙂
The only way to do it. What a view. Makes me really miss the ocean now that I’m in a landlocked city.
You might just want to go slightly faster, though. Lol.
Awesome!
It was certainly not an everyday sight! 🙂
This is such a great capture
What was the turtle doing there? Just roaming free at the beach?
The owner brought it there for a walk! Really.
Wow!
I guess he must be a very mindful pet owner
No kidding! 🙂
Gorgeous. This is a great shot, Janet! LUV!
I had such an attractive subject that how could it fail. 🙂
