Take a load off!

I don’t know about you, but my yesterday was a very busy one, starting off with a 2.2 mile walk home in 95F degree weather at 7 am after dropping off the van for an oil change. Then it was on to working on things for my parents’ estate and so on. Suffice it to say it was a busy morning and early afternoon. So let’s sit down for a moment for some coffee, or tea if you prefer, at on of La Colombe’s Philadelpia locations. You won’t find any frou frou drinks here (think frappuccinos), just really good coffee and basic coffee/espresso drinks. Of course there are treats as well and the even better news is that the high for Philly was only about 84F rather than 115 here! So we can enjoy a sit-down and hot drink.

The day ended beautifully as I glanced out the back windows after hearing thunder and saw this. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any rain but it certainly looked like someplace did, so that’s good news.

My day tomorrow includes grocery shopping and finding some papers for estate business, possibly some cleaning and starting to pack for my trip to Wyoming. But I’ll work in some reading and certainly a pot of tea. What’s going on in your Tuesday?

My Tuesday was spent having a “discussion” with my chainsaw. I lost. Cutting other wood for the fire and playing with photos on my computer. I had thunder and rain but no rainbows 😦

    • I’d be happy to pass on the rainbow and just get rain. When we lived in Ohio we cut a lot of for the wood burning stove we had inserted in the fireplace. As for photos, I need to be getting mine off of my phone and onto my laptop. Maybe today.

  2. Wyoming = horses. Looking forward to it. 🙂 I’m off early this morning to deliver 200 Pachysandra sprigs I dug up yesterday for a local garden project. At least, I don’t have to plant them all. 🙂

    • I’m looking forward to it too, Judy. Hopefully you missed the heat delivering the sprigs early. I can’t miss the heat even by being up at 5:30!

We are off to the airport. We were thinking that Denver would be cooler, but they are having 90 degree weather, haha.

  4. Sue says:

84F is still too hot for me, and that’s what it is here…so I’m chilling with the Aircon on….

  5. The coffee looks great! Was also busy today! Started early with a pedicure which was amazing. After that my husband and I drove to a nearby town to do some shopping, back home I had to bottle some olives that were ready to by in brine!

  6. Resa says:

    Lovely cuppa rainbow. Thanks Janet!

  7. Amy says:

It’s very hot here, over 100f for weeks now.
Love how your day ended. Beautiful capture!

  8. Ooooohhhh, 115 is brutal! We’re getting some rain this week. We’ve yet to see full monsoon action this year. Hopefully that will change this week. I looked at the radar yesterday. You guys got some moisture, right? 🌞

    • Yes, thankfully we got a decent rain last night. “Monsoon’s” been a misnomer in the 2 1/2 years since we moved here. We’ve had some dust this year, though.

  9. Resa says:

Love the coffee! I need one right now. Think I’ll go ice a cuppa!
    The rainbow rocks.

    That rainbow is nice
And the coffee shop without the foo-foo drinks is my kind of place
Also / the photo with the mug and spoon – having the froth on the spoon added warmth
