“Here Comes the Sun” conjures up dawn and sunrise, my favorite time to be out walking and taking photos, so thanks to Amy for the theme, although it did make it hard to choose. 🙂 So I have to interrupt the retrospective of my Wyoming vacation to go for the sunshine.
This shot was taken on my way down the mountain in Wyoming as I headed home in 2017, the day of the eclipse. As you can see, it began in a stunning way, really more beautiful than the eclipse itself.

At the Preserve here in Arizona…

Sunshine inside the house…

As backlighting…
Ah, brilliant! Love the first and the egret (?) especially!
Thanks, Sue. Yes, it’s an egret, a snowy egret. There are lots of them here but also great egrets.
Thanks for the info
Oh, that egret shot! So beautiful. And I can’t help singing along 🤗💗
Good for you singing, Jo. I’m glad you liked the egret shot. They’re quite lovely.
🤗💕
Beautiful. Can’t pick out a favorite – I love them all.
Thanks, Peggy. That makes me happy to read. 🙂 Happy Monday.
The first photo is a stunner janet 🙂
Many thanks, Brian. It’s was a moment when I had to find a place to pull over (and there are only a couple on the way down the quite narrow mountain road) and take a number of photos. The actual eclipse later in the day was much less awesome. 🙂
It seems I’m the “odd one out” but my favorite is the backlight image Janet, it’s so perfectly captured! They’re all wonderful though. The first is glorious and the light on the egret is perfect. Great choices for the week.
Thanks, Tina. I really like the backlit shot as well, one of the rewards of forgetting the rule to always have the sun behind you when shooting. 🙂
The image of the sun is stunning, indeed. Beautiful egret. The light inside the house is like an abstract image. I love your backlit photos, especially the last one. Thank you, Janet!
My pleasure, Amy. Thanks for a challenge that I could really get into, although it was hard to choose. That’s a good problem, though.
What a very gorgeous, sun-riser gallery, Janet. All lovely in their own way, but the shot inside the house caught my eye because that’s what it felt like too.
That shot of the leaves was due to one of those moments when you see something and instantly have to run for your camera, whether phone or “real” camera or both. 🙂
Oh, I love your Eclipse, and Egret images!!
Thanks, Deborah. I was in the Badlands during the actual eclipse and thought this sunrise was a much more amazing thing to see. 🙂
Wow. LOVE that sun and sky in the opener.
Thanks John. It was one of the most awesome sunrises I’ve ever seen.
Such wonderful photos Janet 😀 😀
Thanks very much, Cee. I had good material to work with.
What great shots! I love the first one best but they are all beautiful.
Thanks, other Janet. It’s hard to compare than when they’re so very different in subject matter. But I’m glad you like them all.
Great images…but that 1st shot! WOW
Thanks, Mitzi. It was breath-taking to see and I’m happy it turned out to have the same effect.
Oh, Janet, that moon shot is incredible. That needs to be framed for sure.
XOXO

Thanks, Jodie. (It’s a morning sun photo, but I appreciate the love anyway. 🙂
The golden glow of the rising sun – best inspiration there could be to tackle the day ahead!
Definitely. 🌞
Beautiful photos. You have been on my mind, as you come and go, and I come and go. I know you are missing Wyoming. A beautiful send off.
Glad you liked these, Donna. I always miss Wyoming at least a little bit but I’m busy here and it’s almost grandson time so that will be great. Thought of you too.
