…in Arizona aren’t the same as in other parts of the US. Yes, there are yellows and reds but not in the leaves generally, at least in the desert part of the state. But the beauty is real as you can see from these photos taken on my recent walk. I’m heading back to Illinois tomorrow (driving) so I’ll have a chance to see the “normal” colors of autumn (or fall as many of us call it.) I’ll get to see what October looks like in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois and then on the way back, November in the same states. Posting may be sporadic but the camera will be at work so eventually you’ll see what I see. In the meantime, be safe and have fun.

Jo’s Monday Walk 10.24.22
Have fun. Stay safe and get some great stuff for us to view 🙂
I’m quite sure you can count on a photo or two, Brian. 🙂
Celebrating the differences, Janet! Take good care…
Wouldn’t it be boring if everywhere in the world looked exactly the same? 🙂
Very!
But you’d never get lost. Or do I mean, you’d always get lost? Drat- wish I hadn’t even thought about it.
I think you’d always get lost. It would be like one of those dsytopian movies where everything and everyone look the same and it’s always dark and rainy. 🙂
Oh no! 😳😳😳
These are so beautiful.
Thanks, Andrew. There is so much beauty in the desert, just as there is in all other places, although it may not always be the beauty we expect or are accustomed to seeing.

You are so right. If we go South to the mountains there are deciduous trees and ruset leaves and snow. Here we have opposit seasons to Britain but without snow. There are flowers and Blossom, of one type or another all the time. Most of our so called Natives are from South Africa, I have a Mexican Cactus in the garden yet they are everywhere and I thought they were Native.
[…] The colors of autumn… […]
Sounds exciting to travel through all those states. Hope you capture a lot of good photos. Be careful and stay safe. That last photo is a Mexican Petunia and I have one growing in my yard. The butterflies love it.
Thanks for the identification, Peggy. I looked them up and they’re not actually petunias and are considered invasive in some place. They’re certainly pretty, though, and anything that butterflies love can’t be all bad right? 🙂
The Mexican Petunia spreading very fast. If you bury a barrier around them their is no problem.
Beautiful fall color. Safe travels, and you sure must like to drive. 🙂
Thanks, Judy. I do enjoy driving although I’m not looking forward to the first day of about 12 hours. But flying means (besides flying) that I’d have to rent a car for 2 1/2 weeks and that gets really expensive. So I’ll just enjoy seeing all these different parts of the US, drink my tea, and relax as much as possible. The time there is well worth it.
Beautiful! Safe travels and happy trails 😁
Thanks, Madison. Now I have that song stuck in my head. 🙂
People who don’t see the all the colors in the desert aren’t “seeing”. Once that was me too!
Have a safe journey there and back again, and most of all have a great time!
It’s easy to see only what we want to or would like to see in other places rather than notice what’s lovely about them. I’ll do my best to be safe and I know I’ll have a good time. 🙂
Have fun, drive carefully. Looking forward to the pictures. We have some of those same colors here in California.
California has a lot of all sorts of colors! I’ll be as safe as possible, will take lots of photos, and will have a blast once I get there. Seeing good friends makes the trip worth it.
Beautiful colors, Janet. Travel safe.
Thanks x 2. 😉
These are all beautiful, Janet! Have a good trip and drive carefully! It must be a real treat if you love driving…Looking forward to your reports. ♥
Thanks, A-C. It’s been a good trip so far and I’ve seen some real beauty.
💛
Wow! Beautiful photos!
Thanks, Jessica. This is growing season where we are now that the heat is over.
Absolutely GORGEOUS floral finds. Just seeing them all makes me feel happy.
And that makes me happy!
So beautiful Janet! Have fun!
Thanks, Aletta. The first day was really good.
That’s wonderful!
