Nature is front and center in a Japanese garden but not wild, untended nature. It’s carefully curated to appear entirely natural.

I call this sort of shape a Dr. Seuss tree as that’s what it reminds me of. 🙂

The boat on the lake adds so much to the look of the whole.

More red berries…

…and a fuzzy bud.

Don’t you feel more relaxed even though these are only photos? Serenity is key in this sort of garden.
great pictures, loved the boat on the water.. and and and… waves good morning, happy happy new year to YOU!
Thanks. Good morning and happy 2023 to you as well.

I’m glad you finally got to see the Anderson Japanese Gardens, Janet. It’s a beautiful place, isn’t it. And you’ve captured its various aspects perfectly.
It’s beautiful, Sue. I hope I can see it again in spring or summer to enjoy the differences.
And, still so colorful!! I loved the reddish/pink branches in front of that lovely tree.
Pretty good for early November, that’s for sure. I was thrilled to see all the red.
Trees are sooooo cool!!!
I agree, Mike.
