Once the weather and our health had finally improved, his parents and I took my grandson to the park where his perpetual energy found a better outlet than in a small, two-bedroom apartment. There I discovered signs of spring, one of which were a number of these small daisies in patches throughout the grass. I felt much as Edna did, only substituting “photograph” for “touch.” I fell far short of a hundred, but they certainly made me glad.
“I will be the gladdest thing under the sun! I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one.”
― Edna St. Vincent Millay

So glad to hear you are all well enough to venture outdoors! Such cheerful simple perfection, these daisies!
Thanks, Ju-Lyn. It was good to feel better!
In Romania we say that keeping a pot of daisies by the front door brings good luck.
Thank you for sharing 🌼
Then there was good luck on this park. 😉

Lovely to be out again
That it was!
Cool!
That quote brings me so much joy when I’m out amoung the flowers. These are lovely!
They were tiny but beautiful. I always loved seeing all the spring wildflowers back in Illinois.
An outing with loved ones is really amazing. Lovely daisies 🙂
Being with loved ones is best but the daisies made it even better. 🙂
Hello.
Beautiful reminder to appreciate the simple things in life, like the arrival of spring and the joy of spending time outdoors with loved ones. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Michelle. I appreciate your visit and comment! The arrival of spring is both simple and amazing, isn’t it? I’m so happy you enjoyed the post.

Glad you are feeling better. Nothing like a family outing along with seeing flowers!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks, Nancy. Despite getting sick and the less-than-stellar weather, we managed to have a good time. 🙂 You have a great weekend as well.
