Most of the people taking pictures were always on the other side of the little lake, and although conventional wisdom would say it was better there, because the light was behind you, I got some really nice pictures with the light behind the birds from my side.
Wonderful soaring in the sky, graceful wading through the shallow but landing…..

Not the usual flying bird picture but all the better for that.
Ordinarily I wouldn’t consider it a photo to share but for Six Word Saturday it provided the perfect opportunity for a bit of humor.
