Lovely. 🙂 We’ve got the bluebonnets in full bloom here. They always seem to thrive right off the highways.
Isn’t it amazing how flowers can grow almost anywhere? I’ve seen photos of the bluebonnets and they’re spectacular.
Lovely to see this lupine so bright and flourishing on the side of the road in Joshua Tree, Janet. I saw lots of fresh lupine foliage while there earlier in early March, and then it got covered by snow, so I am glad the flowers popped out and flagged you down. Terrific photo.

I love lupine, too, Janet! They grow wild on our property but we’ll have to wait until May to enjoy them.
If you lived in the desert, I guess you’d get them sooner. 😁. The mountains in Wyoming get them May or later.

I love driving on the highways this time of year. The hard part is stopping safely in the perfect spot. Well done.
If I’d been on the 10, I couldn’t have done it but as this was in Joshua Tree National Park and it wasn’t terribly crowded at that moment, I could do it safely. It’s so sad to see the perfect shot and not have anywhere to pull over to take it!! 🙂
