Today’s flowers are quite different, the flowering of a blogger meetup. There were six of us bloggers as well as the husbands of three of the group. Starting on the left side we have Marsha of Always Write, Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style, and Terri of Second Wind Leisure Perspectives sitting next to her husband Hans. Moving to the other side of the table, from the back, Marsha’s husband Vince, your truly sporting my fedora, Nancy of Two Trails One Road, and Ingrid of Live Laugh RV. Behind the camera in both shots is Rob, Jodie’s husband and photographer.
“Friendship … is born at the moment when one man says to another “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . .”
― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
We met for lunch, the time flying by as we talked and laughed. The grand plan is to meet every month if possible and next time we hope to have Donna of Wind Kisses with us again as well and hopefully first-timer Lisa of Micro of the Macro. Lisa hasn’t been able to meet with us yet although I’ve met with her several times. Any other Arizona bloggers around who’d like to get together, usually in Scottsdale or that area, let one of us know. Our next get-together will likely be the first week of May, before people start scattering for the summer.
“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.”

Here are the bloggers only: left to right in the back: Donna, Terri, Marsha, and Ingrid; left to right in the front: Jodie and moi. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed the different-than-usual Friday flowers. Our friendships are flowering and we’re having too much fun not to share. You might be able to do something like this where you live as well. By the way, our group isn’t limited to women bloggers. At our initial meeting, John of Journeys with Johnbo and his lovely wife were there as well.

I imagine many of you celebrate Good Friday, commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. That may seem a strange thing to celebrate but if that hadn’t happened and Jesus hadn’t risen on Easter, life would basically be pointless. Easter gets short shrift compared to Christmas, but without it, our faith would be in vain. So it truly is a good Friday from that point of view.
how absolutely great. I think we should organize one on a big scale.
Wouldn’t that be fun?!! We could be like athletic leagues and have regionals and then nationals. 🙂 But you wouldn’t have to qualify by beating someone else.
Right
How wonderful!
It was, Sheree. Thanks.
Nice photos of a good time. Happy Easter weekend.
Thanks, Judy, and the same to you. How’s your weather for the weekend?
The weather is moderate in the 35-50’s, but next week we’re going into the 60’s. That’s pretty early for us, but I’ll take it. 🙂
We’re unusually warm for a bit too.
Janet, how great that you all can meet. Hello Ladies, you make a lovely bunch of flowers
On behalf of all of us, thanks, Ritva. It really is wonderful to be able to get together regularly and get to know each other better.
I really liked seeing this blogger’s reunion, Janet. I actually recognized Ingrid the moment I saw the photo, and now you have introduced me to some new blogs/bloggers. Great that you all took the time to get together. I’ve met up with a few other bloggers who came to town over the years, and it was fascinating and fun to meet them in person and it made the blogging connection sweeter thereafter.
It really is fun, Jet. I’ve met with bloggers in a variety of places in the US and once in Europe, but usually just one or two and not regular get-togethers as these are shaping up to be. Enjoy the new blogs and perhaps one of these days I’ll make it to your part of California.
If you do come to No. Calif….let’s get together, Janet. 🙂
Definitely.
Beautiful message of Easter.
And we sure are lovely flowers! It was another fun get together!
Happy Easter!
Great idea to put the word out for others. It’s been such a joy meeting up with everyone!!
OXOX
Jodie
And any bloggers from elsewhere who are in the area, as Terri and Hans were, are welcome as well. You don’t have to be from Arizona.
How fun is that! Great pictures. Love your hat.
It was lots of fun, Janet. I love hats and have lots of them, although most of them are dressier. I decided it was time to get one out!
Lovely flowers indeed! Thanks for the idea & best wishes of the season!

It’s so much fun. I hope you can do something similar.
HAPPY EASTER, Jan… to you and yours!
Thanks, Resa. ❤
It was a great meet up and I look forward to more in our future. Happy Easter!
I always enjoy them too, Ingrid. It was great that you could be there too.
You all look great. I love your hat!
Happy Good Friday, and Happy Easter, Janet!☺🥰
Thanks, Deborah. We had a great time and I love hats so it was nice to be able to get one out.
How nice to have such an extensive blogging family.
It is. We’re fortunate.
Happy Easter, Janet. We live in gratitude of His immense sacrifice on our behalf.
Indeed we do, Dries. Happy Easter to you and yours as well.
On a purely secular note, how about the Boks-US game!! I was thrilled to see them start gelling as a team. We’re almost caught up and now of course the Singapore tournament has already begun. Sigh. 🙂
This was SO much fun to see Janet – maybe close to as much fun as you all had!! Not everyone includes a photo of themselves with their blogs and I often wonder what they look like. I know Marsha and terri get together often but this is the first time I’ve seen such a large group of blogging friends. Fantastic!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Tina. It started out with just a few of us and has grown to this group and we were still missing at least two, although Terri only comes when she’s in town for a visit. It’s a great group of talented and lovely bloggers.
[…] Wind Leisure Perspectives, Marsha of Always Write, Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style, Janet of This, That and The Other Thing. Thank you ladies for including […]
So much fun reflected in all of you. Love the hat.
Thanks. I love hats but don’t have many opportunities to wear them. It was, as always, a good time.
