The colours are so beautiful 🙂
They are, Brian, and there were so many colorful, enormous pieces of petrified wood that I finally stopped taking photos. It was overwhelming.
Love your title! Petrified rocks are so cool. To think that they’re so old they petrified is amazing.
It’s certainly amazing. As a Christian, I believe the flood would have caused much of this to happen as the immense pressure of having water higher than the highest mountain would accelerate processes in an unbelievable amount. And there are enormous pieces of petrified wood there, some whole trunks of tree that cracked in to segments as they got heavy.
I hadn’t ever thought about from that perspective. It’s a wonderful insight.
