The Penn campus in Philadelphia is gorgeous but it’s not just gardens, flowers, and the occasional statue. The majority of the buildings are glorious examples of well-kept stately stone ones, with a few modern buildings or other touches thrown in at various places. Stately buildings mean the sort of doors that can grab you with their beauty. Here are three examples.

I want you to see the great details on the building but then to see the doors better. Image compare lets me do that easily. Why isn’t imagine compare available on the iPad or iPhone?

These doors have a medieval look to go with the appearance of the building.

The doorkeeper of this groups of door-ks is Dan the doorman. We all think he’s a real door-ling. 🙂 Click here to be transported to his post and see what other doors are being shared today. I think Thursday should probably be officially renamed Doors-day. Sounds pretty similar

Fab doors Janet 🙂
Great doors today, Janet. I never remember the image compare and like how you used it here.
I like the image compare but am frustrated because it’s apparently not available on devices like the iPad or iPhone. I have to use my laptop to get it which isn’t a huge issue but annoying when I don’t have it handy.
Understood. A future fix, perhaps?
I hope so. Maybe I should find out how to contact the Happiness Engineers, which sounds like something from a dystopian novel. 😁
Happy Happy! Let’s us all know if you solve this riddle.
Thanks, Brian. The buildings were quite something as well.
Fabulous doors
Thanks, Sheree. They’re pretty impressive.
I like Wednesday, Doorsday, Friday, Janet – it has a good rhythm. I love that first doors, and the reflections in the second one, especially in the close-up. You’ve covered quite a few miles this year. Thanks for bringing us along for the doors. I mean, ride.
You’re quite welcome, Dan. Always room in virtual travel. 😉
Thumbs up to both sets of glorious doors!
Thanks for the thumbs up, Frank. Happy Thursday.
Great shots of some impressive doors, Janet.
The walk back took me ages because I kept stopping for shots of doors and flowers plus the occasional statue. But it was a lot of fun. 😉
Such rich history in these doors. Excellent finds, and the comparison shot is particularly cool.
Thanks, Hannah. I’m glad the image compare worked well. Are you having very hot weather?
Exceedingly. Highs of 106 – 108 all this week and next, at least.
Almost as hot as here. Stay safe.
Fabulous doors. Thanks Janet!
Happy to have you along as always, Resa.
Thank you for the tour, Janet! Glorious stone buildings of UP, indeed. These doors are impressive.
The campus is just gorgeous.
These doors are so amazing. I saw this old door at this church. Anita
Glad you liked these, Anita.
