This week on my edition of Thursday Doors, I’m inviting you into a gas station in Blanding, Utah, perhaps the least likely place you’d expect to find interesting doors. But trust me, you’ll be as surprised as I was to find some of the most attractive doors I’ve ever featured. Don’t be shy, just follow me.
The trip to the restroom found me taking photos in addition to my usual driving break routine, which is get in and out and back on the road again as quickly as possible. The doors and walls featured renditions of some of the stunning landscapes to be found in Utah as well as a few possible activities visitors might enjoy. I wish every bathroom break would be so amazing!!

That’s a wildly beautiful mural! Honestly, I’ve found some of the most marvelous, unexpected things in gas stations. I’ll never forget the gas station in Germany where my family stopped years ago and we got an AMAZING meal from the fresh salad bar that included chanterelle (!!!) mushrooms.
Gas stations in Europe often have good to excellent food choices, unlike those here.
I love it when someone goes to this much effort to make people feel good about mundane tasks. I’d make this place a destination. I’m glad you found it. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, how pretty is that! We like stopping at the visitor centers in either Blanding or Monticello for a quick break but next time through that area, I may want to stop at this gas station. I love Utah!
The Blanding visitors center is not only excellent but right next door to the gas station. 😉. Branding also has a wonderful museum call Edge of the Cedars that’s outstanding and also has a lovely ruin where you can climb down into a kiva: https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/edge-of-the-cedars/. The woman at the visitors center told me about it.
Agree, Blanding visitor center is awesome. Years ago they allowed us to pull the RV around back and fill up with fresh water. Thanks for the link;
