Potpourri:
- A combination of incongruous things.
- A miscellaneous anthology or collection.
- A mixture of dried flower petals and spices used to scent the air.
In the interest of Thursday Doors, we’ll focus on the second (and possibly the first) definition of “potpourri.” This first photo, of a door or two on a hundred-year-old Norwegian boat house, was sent to me by my sister-in-law and I loved it too much not to share.

This mobile X-ray machine is so cute and much easier than having patients walk (if possible) to another room for X-rays. And it had a door on it!!!

I’m quite sure I shared this one months ago, but I love both picture and sentiment, so I’m using it again. I hope you seize today and it turns out wonderfully!

I’m seizing it right now, Janet. Well, as soon as I’ve had my coffee!
The only way to do it. 😉
I love your first photo of the Norwegian boathouse , especially.
I loved it as soon as my sister-in-law sent me the photo.
😳 the x-ray machine looks like a printer or a scanner with an automatic sheet feeder.
Ok, the last one seems to match the real function a bit. Although, I don’t want to get a part of my body get pulled in by using such a feeder 😁
The last one was a decorated power box, so it wouldn’t pull you in. The X-ray machine was quite easy for them to use and easy for the patient as well.
The last one was easy to recognize. I’m talking about the thing with the dog in the car painted on.
That’s the mobile X-ray machine. That’s what I thought you meant but because you said the last photo, I got confused. 😳😁
Hmmm – maybe I forgot to type „second“ last 😁
😉
I like the boat house door too
Yes, it’s a beauty.
Lovely trio
Thanks, Sheree.
Love your first image!
Thanks. I do too. Hopefully next year I might be there to see it in person. 😉
Ooh, that would be g ood
Oh yes … thumbs up to the Norweigan boat house …. and cheers to the creative of the others.
Thanks, Frank. That boat house is so attractive.
The boathouse is a sure winner, but I love the artwork on the mobile X-Ray machine. That’s gonna make me smile for a while. I hope you have a great day, too.
And the fact that the X-ray machine was mobile is so useful. Being cute is even better.
Riviera Village sounds like the place for me!
It’s quite a nice little area. You’d like it and the ocean is just a block away.
I’m on team boathouse doors 🙂
I think we have enough for a team of some sort. 😍
👍😁
The mobile x-ray machine is a delight! I’m charmed.
I was too. Levity in a hospital situation is often appreciated.
Love this series! Wonderful captures, Janet. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed them, Amy. The X-ray machine was a fun find.
Great Boathouse photo to begin your potpourri. I have a Norwegian penpal and just love the photos she sends me! Bucket list destination for me—someday 🙂
I hope to go next year. I haven’t been over since Covid, when they were still living in France. Moving from France to Norway is an enormous change but Norway is a gorgeous country.
Like them all. The last one is so important to remember in our daily lives. Not to just drift along but live wirh intent.
You’re so right, Bernie. The farther along in life we get, the more important it is to wisely use the time that might be left to us. Thanks for that.

The first one is like a painting. It’s beautiful!
I thought so too.
