I’m sorry you didn’t get any treats after yesterday’s walk, so let’s fly from France to Pasadena, California for tea at my favorite tea shop there…Chado.

I discovered this delightful spot on a visit several years ago, spending so much time there during my short visit that they knew me.

Since I inadvertently posted my Friday flowers post on Friday New Zealand time, I’ll take this opportunity to share a wonderful Veteran’s Day display, the Healing Field of Honor, in Naperville. I was fortunate because, due to the weather, the flags weren’t taken down the day after Veteran’s Day and now I can share it with you as well.

Thursday I’m heading to Philadelphia (by van, not by boat), to take a load of things to our younger daughter. I’m rather good at packing, but even I can’t figure out a way to get a small couch into my second bag with Southwest, hence the van and the drive. 🙂 Between today and Thursday, I work and have lots to do around the house, so I won’t have time to blog. But I wanted to leave you with a little something, as Winnie-the-Pooh might say, to make you happy while I’m gone and this is it, the view from the lake just a short distance from the cabin. Enjoy and see you next week!

Used an iPhone photo taken through a window with a screen, boosted the color, then used Lomo-ish from Picasa with a bit of a vignette. I think it looks a bit like a painting. Just gotta have some fun.

…but just for a bit.  Between work and my upcoming trip to Philadelphia, I can’t keep up with the blog.  So  I wish you all the best during the next week or so and look forward to catching up with you when I get back online.  As Pooh would say, “TTFN.”

No flowers around yet, so instead I’ll share this photo of a flowering tea.  Tea leaves are wrapped around dried flowers and tied at the bottom.  When steeped, the leaves open, revealing the flower/s.  It’s a joy to watch the unfurling as well as to see the finished “flower” and drink the tea.
