My nomination for this travel photo challenge came from Su at Zimmerbitch. Same old same old: one travel photo, no explanation necessary. Today’s invitation goes all the way to Finlan, where Ritva is trying to survive the dark of a Scandinavian winter. Take us away to somewhere sunny, Ritva, and if you do, link or pingback to my post/blog. Or just enjoy my photo when it gets dark.

for One Word Sunday

Last October while on a wedding planning trip with my older daughter and her husband-to-be, our younger daughter and visited Viñas de Garza winery  in Ensenada, Baja California.  It reminded me more than a little of the wine-growing areas in Provence.

The flowers were lovely and the entrance inviting, although this wasn’t the entrance to the patio for the wine tasting.

for Six Word Saturday

Just a much-needed bit of color for a winter day.  We’ve been having a lot of grey skies but without the joy (to me) of some lovely snow to brighten things up.  And yesterday we had high winds, too.  But I know spring isn’t too far away and maybe we’ll get some more snow before then.  🙂

It’s been over at month since we celebrated the wedding of our older daughter in Baja California. Besides the wedding, there was a lot of beauty on offer as you’ll see in these photos for Patti’s Lens-Artists theme this week of “Splash!” There was some rather nice light, too.
