Where I live, “spiky” and “flower” are often found side by side. In this case, we’ll just add “orange” for the trifecta. Happy Friday!

I’m excited not only to share a favorite subject, a bee nose diving into a flower, but my first photo duo using the slider, which I only found thanks to Dan at nofacilites. He’s been giving lessons on using the block editor and as far as the slider goes, once I knew where to look, it was simple to find. Thanks so much, Dan. This particular bee and flowers were at Saguaro National Park near Tucson, Arizona. These cacti and flowers were very small but eye-catching.

…if you’re this little and inside a cactus flower.

As tempted as I was to go with a beautiful morning in the park or a stunning sunset, I decided to go with the lights I saw a few years ago looking out at LA from Griffith Planetarium with my daughter.  I thought the shot turned out rather well, considering it was taken with my iPhone 5s.

And then while I was scrolling, I found this photo, a complete opposite, so I thought I’d feature them both for contrast.

Then I decided to go with one more and yes, it’s from the park.  After that, I decided I’d better stop, even though I had a lot more.  🙂  Have a happy, blessed Monday filled with magical light.

It may not be a rose, but it’s certainly between two or more thorns!  I like the contrast between the sharp thorns and the soft flower.  Be careful if you attempt to pick this flower!!
