During the Tour de France, the routes are heavily decorated with a variety of decorations.  Of course, bicycles figure heavily and, as yellow is the color of the jersey, the “maillot jaune”,  worn by the winner at the end of each stage and, of course, at the end of the race, many yellow bikes are seen.  This one would be a bit uncomfortable, to say nothing of not having gears, and how long would the rider’s legs have to be to reach the pedals?  Odd, indeed.

The Weekly Photo Challenge has moved from Friday to Wednesday and since I was last here, Cee’s Oddball Photo Challenge has moved from Friday back to Sunday.  I’m so confused.  However, the two are no longer in conflict, so my life is easier in that respect.  🙂  For this week, I offer you a sign I spotted while going with my parents to visit my brother and his family during my January visit to Arizona.  I’m all for what this sign stands for!!

It’s winter, the time for snow.  But this isn’t snow.  This is sugar on blueberries waiting to be made into blueberry crisp.  Oddball?  Maybe for a photo, but not for the taste buds!

A friend and I stopped by Super H Mart, a Korean grocery store carrying an enormous variety of Asian foods, rice cookers, etc.  While browsing, we came across these adorable, and no doubt tasty snacks. I may have to try them one day, as I love almost anything stuffed with red bean paste!  They are oddballs in the cutest sort of way.

I laughed out loud when I saw this display in a local grocery store.  Oddballs show up everywhere. It’s just nuts.

The difference between week 43 and week 52 is a frighteningly small number!!  The days are rapidly getting shorter and chillier, I’ve added a blanket to the bed, and turned the heat on…rather low, but still on. But whatever the season, oddball photos abound.  Here are three disparate ones for this week.

The view from the bottom of the stairs in our Cleveland house, looking up at the light and the attic stairs, which are pulled down. I painstakingly painted that entire railing when we moved in and again before we put the house on the market (and it ran all the way down both sides of the stairs to the first floor!  🙂

As the Weekly Photo Challenge prompt seems to be lost in the ether, I’ll go ahead and post my response to the Oddball Photo Challenge for this week.  Here are two faces that appeared in my kitchen recently.

Scrubbing is hard work, but he still has a smile.
