It may be winter and almost 2022 but fall has finally arrived in our part of Arizona. 🙂

It may be winter and almost 2022 but fall has finally arrived in our part of Arizona. 🙂
And from another tree.
It’s been a busy week, so I’m simply going to share a photo I took on my walk yesterday morning. It was a therapeutic walk, as I needed to be outside and unhurried. Covered from head to foot to avoid any ticks, I took one of the unimproved paths, more like an animal track. With all the rain, everything is overgrown and I lost the track for a time. Soaked above the knees from bushwhacking through high wet grass and other plants, a nice little crop of burrs stuck to pants and socks, I finally found it again. Although there’s a lot of yellow amongst the green, these bright beauties add their own bit of color.
The days are getting colder. Vegetable colors fade from brilliant reds, peaches, blues and oranges to more muted colors. Fruit becomes less soft, more crisp and crunchy. But during the last market a few weeks ago, produce made its last, colorful stand. I bought squash, apples for yet more applesauce and other end-of-summer goodies and enjoyed the last warmth of the season.
“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

What hue/s express me? I like dark, rich, bright colors, so this shot out of all my possible choices may come the closest to including all those colors I love. What do you think they say about me? What hues did others choose? Check the Photo Challenge post.
