The early morning light is one of the reasons I always enjoyed walking at dawn or closely thereafter. This photo is from McDowell Forest Preserve in Naperville, Illinois, a lovely mixture of forest and Midwest prairie.

Today’s a travel day as I head west for some extended grandson time. 🙂 See you tomorrow (or later today.)

Another weekend in the review mirror, this one filled with Easter joy. I hope you enjoyed your weekend whether you celebrated the resurrection or not. Taking a morning walk is my favorite way to start the day or the week. The highlight of our week will be traveling to California this coming weekend to meet our new grandson and first grandchild. I also have a dentist appointment later in the week. I always like getting my teeth cleaned because they feel so good afterwards and I rarely have any other issues. Do you dread the dentist or not mind? What are you looking forward to this week?

I see lots of morning trees as that’s not only my preferred time of day to be out but also because I always wake up early.

Some cooling blue in downtown Naperville. The fountain looks much like a dandelion and is a place where moms and children enjoy congregating. Don’t you love those sunglasses?

The van’s loaded, the cabin shut for the winter, and we’re on our way.  Let’s pause at the as we get on the Red Grade Road and take a look at the mountains in the dawn.  Do you see Black Tooth back there, about right in the middle, still with snow?

The view just as we start to descend is even more beautiful than usual.

Drives Night along with them from Heav’n,
