It’s been a beautiful month of blacks and greys, but how can we already be in the last month of the year? I’m excited to be putting up Christmas decorations and as we have a smallish artificial tree that is decorated mostly with bird ornaments and other nature items, it seems appropriate to end this month’s theme with a bird photo.

― Robert Lynd

“Birds chirping around you is a beautiful realisation that life is incredibly good. Let this sound be a gentle break in your routine.”

While visiting in southern California, I was mesmerized by the glass sculpture in our daughter’s apartment. This is one of the photos I took of it.

Apologies to anyone whose post I missed over the weekend. My husband, who last week worked 80 hours, finally had an entire weekend off, so we took two road trips, one each day. It was fantastic and probably the first time we’ve been able to do something together for an entire day since the end of summer and that’s no joke. Thanks for your understanding!

Some of my favorite things about downtown and high-rise buildings are the reflections you can catch in them. Mostly I prefer my canyon walls to be made of rock, but they don’t reflect nearly as well. 🙂
