Nature’s gold

I think nature’s gold is the very best and I offer you two examples of why I think so. This will be my last post for September as I’m on the way to southern California for another visit with our older daughter, husband, and grandchild-in-the-making. I’ll even be attending my first gender-reveal party but no, there will be no fireworks to start forest fires or anything happening that might kill someone or destroy property! Just family and friends and a cake that when cut, will have frosting colored to reveal boy or girl. Whatever happened to the element of surprise that we looked for? 🙂

Not all gold is obvious. You’ve heard of people panning or mining for gold, haven’t you? You have to take a closer look to find gold here but it’s there.

Things are escalating in Philadelphia

I remember as a child going up the down escalator, not far and not if there were people waiting. but it was fun. Looking down when you’re on a moving escalator is also fun but can be dangerously mesmerizing. Two classic escalator scenes are from “Elf” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duiRmGxeWSQ) and one of Cato in another Pink Panther movie trying to go up the escalator while wearing fake glasses that distort his vision. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find that one.
