Last year on my way home from Wyoming, I came to a halt just before heading down the mountain. I was at about 7,000′ altitude with a view from this spot that normally seems to encompass the entire eastern side of the state. However, this morning it looked as if cotton had filled everything as far as I could see with an astonishing beauty.

To those of you who know we moved to Arizona over a year ago, it will be obvious that this shot was NOT since that move but taken back in Illinois a few years ago. This might be the entire number of drops in one rain here…and I’m not really joking. Sometimes our “rain” is just a smattering of drops so scant that I could almost count them. But no matter, just enjoy the plethora of drops that makes this bit of plant and spiderweb appear to be wearing a shawl of diamonds.

This is the white I miss.
