Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo” for the Oddball Photo Challenge!

Cee, if you would link for me, I’d appreciate it.  I’ll be on the road Sunday-Tuesday, exploring Napa mostly.  Yesterday morning, I was up at 2:50 am CST, flew to LAX, was picked up by our older daughter, after which we drove to Carmel via the coast highway, Highway 1.  Lots of fun, stunning beauty, but a very, very long day, arrive at our motel at 9 pm PST!  Won’t be much internet time until mid-week.

New Glarus, Wisconsin is America’s Little Switzerland and the endpoint last weekend of an approximately 170 mile, three-day bike ride by my husband and a friend.  I enjoyed a bit of exploring while they rode and we ended the adventure with a round of tasty beer from the New Glarus Brewing company, whose brewery looms over the town like a feudal castle over its medieval village.

Much of the little “downtown” area resembles nothing so much as a tiny bit of Switzerland, all the way down to the happy cows found throughout the town.  Here’s just one example.  Who knew Swiss cattle could cook?
