It’s been a bit dreary here in northeastern Illinois and it might be that way where you are as well. A bit of flowery beauty doesn’t come amiss at this time of year in the northern hemisphere and I hope my friends in the southern one will enjoy it as well.

After a few days of relaxing while my daughter worked, we decided to visit Huntington Botanical Gardens in south Pasadena. Purchased in 1903 by railroad magnate H.E. Huntington, this former citrus ranch is now filled with spectacular gardens. In the small part we explored in our few hours, one of my favorite areas was the humid conservatory. Here are a few of the photos I took there while trying to protect my camera from the periodic mistings.
