I’m playing around just a bit with the “rules” for my last B&W entry, using a focal B&W edit to leave a bit of the light in the shot. Yeah, that’s about as radical as I get. 🙂 Back from a great time in Philadelphia being Mom and friend with our younger daughter. Yes, Dan, there will be doors, although not this week, as Thursday is Thanksgiving and although we’ll be on our own, it will be a day off of extraneous things, even though blogging is something for which I’m very thankful. Happy Tuesday, all.

I really like this!! Glad you had a good time visiting your daughter.
Thanks, Su. It was a good time, even though I was still getting over a cold and cough.

😕 I hope you are feeling better now.
Getting there. Still trying to get rid of that last bit of tickle in the throat and small amount of drainage, but much better. Thanks. 🙂
The Big T brought a nasty cold back from Japan, and is still recovering; same sort of last lingering symptoms 😕
😦 Drinking lots of healing tisanes such as green rooibos with rose hips. Delicious, warm, and good for us.
Good times with sons and daughters are the best times. Glorious shot.
They are and thanks, A-C. 🙂

That’s lovely, Janet! Good playing about! 🙂 🙂
I don’t like to over-edit most of the time, but playing with some of the effects can be fun. I’m glad you liked this one.
Love this light airy image, a puff could blow it away…
Exactly what I was shooting for, Pauline. Thanks.

Your photography skills are amazing
That’s so nice of you, JayyTee. 🙂 Thank you.

Very nice photo – I can wait for those doors, Janet. I can wait.
🙂 I didn’t get many until the last day and then I really went to town.
Did someone say DOORS?!!
😀
I do think so, Norm. Whenever I get to Philly, I stock up on doors. There are so many great ones there.

What a great shot. Nice work.
Randy
Thanks very much, Randy. Hope your week’s off to a great start.

That’s a beautiful shot. We’re on our own too – but it’s okay.
I’m fine with it, too, JT. The girls will be here me for a number of days around Christmas, which is even better. 😉

I like the splash of color in this photo, Janet. It is so quiet and subtle.

Thanks, Allan. It’s fun to be able to turn the shot to B&W and then let a bit of the original color peek through.
Good work with the editing. I have been practicing that technique and know that it is not as easy as the end results look.
Ω
Picasa has a “Focal Black and White” edit that makes it pretty easy.
That’s nice to hear, Janet. It sure beats hand-coloring, post-darkroom work.

Happy Tuesday, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Happy. 🙂 I’m thankful for your blog, too.
Always nice to read, Hannah. And now it’s Happy Wednesday. 🙂

You radical rebel you! Lol
Great way to end seven days of b-w – ahhhh
And the pop of glow here fits your words and the vibe of moving into a chill-laxing holiday ☀️
🙂 Yes, I’m quite the wild one, aren’t I? The app on Picasa that let’s me do this is an enjoyable one to play with, especially with certain shots. I loved the way it allowed me to leave the original glow of color just on the top.
janet
that app sounds like it is awesome (and reminds me of the tech we have at our fingertips.
and again, this is a beautiful photo and edit – and might be one worth framing….
Mother Nature is the best artist of all, and your photography skills are clearly showing here. Great shot. 🙂
Thanks so much, Judy. It was a wonderful morning bathed in light.

I loved your treatment of this thistle head, and it inspired me to do something similar to a photograph of mine yesterday, Janet.
I’ll be checking out what you did, Madison. Always happy to be an inspiration! 🙂
Your fall pictures are absolutely beautiful!
Many thanks. 🙂 That’s always lovely to read.

Perfection … pure perfection. 😎
Many thanks, Issy. 🙂
