I came home from our week in California with a full heart…and a full-on cold. I’m finally getting back to normal. I’ve been mostly relaxing, trying to kick this thing, but thankfully there were three Six Nations rugby games and catching up on the week-long Paris Nice cycling race. Could have been much worse.
While in California, I walked almost every morning on The Strand, a beautiful paved path that runs for miles between the beach on one side, often filled with volleyball players, and the houses on the other side, often overwhelming in their opulence.
However, there were also moments of peace and quiet.
That is a lovely morning walk. Hope you are fully recovered soon.
Lots of people walk there every day. It’s a perfect place to walk.
☺
I prefer the peace and quiet 😀
I do too. 😉
The downside of travel, Janet. Hope you’re fully fit soon.
Thanks, Jo. Almost there.
Get well soon.
Thanks, Judy. Feeling much, much better.
hope you feel better soon
Thanks, Beth. I feel pretty good today.
Oh, how I love peace and quiet! Beautiful picture. Feel better soon!
Thanks all around, Nancy. Are you gearing up for St. Patty’s Day? 😉
Indeed I am!
Something very calming about a walk along the beach
The sound of the waves helps, don’t you think?
Definitely
It looks lovely. I hope you’re back to 100% soon!
Thanks, Deborah. One more day and I should be 💯% or close to it.
Any day at the beach is a good day. Sounds like a great week in CA. Hope you’re back to 100% and able to enjoy our perfect desert weather. I’ve been out shooting wildflowers wherever I can find them.
It was a wonderful time, Ingrid. I want to look for wildflowers too but between getting better and working on taxes, plus the every day necessities, I probably won’t make it this week. Text me some good places if you have time.
I’m not sure where the blooms are on your side of the valley. However, I’ve seen pics from along the Bush Hwy.
I was thinking of visiting the Chateau de vie in Chandler. I know their lavender fields are relatively new thus perhaps not photogenic just yet but might be a fun photo outing anyway.
It is all to easy to catch colds when going on visits. I hope that you recover quickly.
Thanks. I’m almost back!
Beautiful picture – yes, some of those houses along the beach can be over the top.
Some of them are enormous! But there are some really lovely ones, although I wouldn’t be keen on people passing right outside my house all the time.
I hope you kick that cold to the curb soon so that you can get “out there” again – I’m sure the rugby and cycling is just barely keeping away the cabin fever!
Felt good enough to go for a good walk this morning. Feels good to get out and about. The rugby and cycling certainly made life inside better. 😉
Hope you feel better soon 💞
Thanks. Pretty much back to normal now. 🙂

Exactly where I love to be. This is such a nice photo.
Thanks!
[…] Morning on the beach […]
Breathtaking image. Get well soon, Janet.
Thanks for both, Amy. I’m feeling good again, which is a big relief. 😉
Thanks for sharing! Get well soon
Glad you liked the photo. I’m feeling good now. Thanks.

We all dream to have that kind of daily walk – lovely! 😊
I’m so happy you enjoyed the photo and the feeling, Callie. I appreciate both the visit and the comment.

Beautiful. Hope you a wonderful vacation.
I love walking on The Strand, too, and never tire taking those photos. I might share them.
We had an excellent time. The strand is always interesting, isn’t it? 😁. They always make a good post.
janet
That’s great.
Always … and yes, they do.
I like to walk up and down the little streets in Hermosa Beach the lie between the Strand and the main street. There are so many cute homes there, even if they don’t have an ocean view. The homes in Manhattan Beach are amazing in a very different way.
Certainly.
