Wow!
It’s easy for things to get caught on cactus spines. 😉
I’m seeing none in real life, but in blog land pink has been the color of the week everywhere I go. Did I miss the memo?
Jude at Life in Colour does a monthly challenge of one color to be found somewhere in the post. This month it’s pink. 🙂
Ah ha! That explains it. I was wondering, so thanks.
Jude just included the link I forgot in case you ever want to join.
Got it. That’s kind. Sadly I’m not much of a photographer, being more of a wordy girl. You might have noticed! 🤓
I do know that, but just wanted to let you know in case something pink showed up before the end of the month. 🙂 I enjoy your words and used to be more wordy myself but I’ve gone more to photos these days.
Thank you. I appreciate the offer. Maybe someday I’ll follow your lead and get more into photography. I do like seeing what everyone else does.
Feel free to join in Ally!
Thanks, Jude. I meant to include the link and forgot. 😘
Thanks!
Oh wow, those are some serious thorns! It’s pretty though.
You don’t want to get to up close and personal with this cactus. The pink blossom got caught there but it’s easy to see why!
Those thorns are huge!
They are but to be fair, I’m quite close. The pink, though, came from another plant not this cactus.
Oh, that is interesting
Those thorns look pretty lethal, a prickly pear? I see the pink has been caught from another flower!
I think those are bougainvillea blossoms on a prickly pear, Jude.
I love the geometry on display in this photo.
Math is everywhere, Dan. 😁
I was wondering how that cactus could have grown such a bold blossom, until I read the comments. 😉 Really, it’s just borrowing it like a colorful accessory, as a person might wear a new hat!
Very true and the wind’s to blame. 😉. Cacti often do have bold blossoms though.
pink, bright and square – perfect 🙂 hope you did not get too close in taking this, those thorns are sharp!
I try never to get to close to any cactus spines. 🙂 Even little ones can be very painful and difficult to remove.
yes MrB discovered that one year!
Ouch!
Took ages to get all the small ones out of his thumb!
OUCH … I’d hate to walk into that cactus.
Double impact photograph … pretty and threatening.
Izzy 😎
You really don’t want to walk into any cacti. Even the tiniest spines can really hurt.
I had a very, very small cactus that I gave away because the spines were always pricking my fingers. They are aggressive little buggers. LOL
I really am in the pink, now! Neat shot!
Thanks! 🥰
