How can it be almost the middle of June (and the half-way point of 2016) already? Time is zipping by much too quickly. It’s also Friday again, time for the Weekly Photo Challenge. A few mornings ago, I went on my usual walk through the park. It was a wet morning and all the spider webs were highlighted by diamond drops of rain. I can’t resist them and it’s pure pleasure to come upon a prairie filled with these usual unseen beauties. This also the first of the shots from the walk I wrote about that had all of you asking for photos. 🙂 Possess your souls in patience and all will be revealed. In the meantime, happy Friday and have a marvel-filled weekend.

I’m an arachnophobe, but even I must admit there is something beautiful about the dew drops on a spiders web!
Laura, it’s incredibly beautiful when this happens…and besides, you can see and avoid the webs more easily. 🙂
janet
Haha, yes, that is very true, and for that I am grateful!
Wow, so beautiful and perfect for the theme, pure! I might wait for the pingbacks to work again, but I will submit a photo next week 🙂
Not sure when they’ll be working, Terri. Going through the comments is much more time-consuming, but I’ll do it, at least for a time. Thanks for taking the time to stop in and also to comment. Have a great weekend.
janet
Stunning! Wonderful photo
If conveys even a small sense of the beauty, I’ll be happy. Thanks.
janet
Wow! Beautifully framed shot! 🙂
Thanks very much, Radhika. I appreciate it.
janet
God knows I’ve tried that shot. The web is never this clear. Good job!
Thanks. I know the feeling, though. I’ve had to trash too many shots that didn’t focus quite correctly. 😦
janet
Lovely composition and great choice for the challenge.
Thanks, Karen. I addicted to this type of shot, always finding another shape of web that looks good. 🙂 Ah, well, there are worse addictions.
janet
That looks very much like a necklace, Janet. Wonderful shot.
Thanks. It’s the only diamond necklace that size I could afford, Sandra. 🙂
janet
Amazing image. It look fragile and strong at the same time.
Looks like you interrupted someone weaving a gown for the Fairy Queen. Gorgeous
The weavers went mad and did small sections all over the park. I hope to see their creation when all the pieces are sewn together! Thanks for being caught in my web today. 🙂
janet
It does look like a diamond necklace!
Now imagine hundreds of these, in varying sizes and shapes, scattered all around the trail. Amazing!
janet
Such a gorgeous image, Janet. 🙂
Thanks very much, Sylvia! The rest of the time, the webs are mostly invisible, but on wet mornings, I can’t wait to get to the park and see them.
I don’t like spiders but every time you show us a picture like this, I almost suddenly take a liking to them ha! Almost!
🙂 I didn’t see many spiders. They must have all been off…doing what? They don’t go out to eat. At any rate, I’m glad I can almost get you to like them, even if you can only go as far as appreciating the beauty of their creations (or fast food restaurants.) 🙂
janet
That’s an amazing shot, Janet, even for you because yours are all great. 🙂 You captured nature at its finest.
Wow, Judy. Your lovely comment made my day. Thanks so much! As Eric Carmen once wrote in a song: “Sometimes you get a hula hoop, sometimes you get an Edsel.” Which you find preferable is entirely up to you, but a friend used to quote that a lot and I love it.
So beautiful!
And the best thing was that this beauty was all around! Just one more shot, just one more shot, just one more… 🙂
janet
Wonderful feeling!
It was.
Purity at its best! This is indeed a superb capture, Janet.
Thank you so much, Hammad. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend.
janet
Simply beautiful. A great shot, Janet. Love the composition. Great choice.
I’m happy you like it, Lucile. I have an edit that only shows the top part of the photo and it has a different feel but is also lovely.
Are you still hosting Photo Rehab?
I’m happy to hear, Janet.
No, I’m not. It’s taking a lot of time, which I don’t have at hand now due to work. It’s been quite hectic and I’ve been sadly very absent from blogging. I’ve tried to at least post a photo once a week, mostly scheduled in advance, and when I have more time I come here to read other blogs.
I know you’ve been gone and I’ve missed you. But I completely understand. Real life takes first place. Just enjoy your time and do what needs to be done. We’re still here when you have time, whether just to visit or to host again.
Thank you for the heartwarming and considerate words, Janet. I truly miss you all and do all I can to come back here and connect with wonderful people like you.
Blogging has been a most rewarding human experience. Thanks.
nature walks clear the cobwebs dont they? This is pure beauty Janet. Happy weekend
In this case, the cobwebs weren’t, thankfully, cleared away. 🙂 The drops made for astonishing beauty. You have a wonderful weekend as well.
Wonderful photo!
Liebe Gruesse Monika
Thanks, Monika.
janet
Beautiful and pure magic. Love this
Thanks very much, Raewyn.
janet
Beautiful – love cobwebs like this and love the way you have captured it:)
Thanks! It makes me happy to read that.
janet
Fantastic pic !!!!
Thank you very much.
janet
Well captured… love the background.
Thank you. I appreciate that.
janet
Spectacular Janet! Yes time is on high speed lately and I’ve barely had a chance to catch my breath!
Beautiful.
Thanks! Glad you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
janet
It’s amazing how beautiful a spider’s web can be with ‘diamond drops of rain’. This is so lovely.
Thanks so much, Clare. One days like this, it takes me forever to get through my walk, as I keep stopping to take photos. Of course, that happens on dry days, too. 🙂
janet
I know what you mean. My husband sighs when I grab my camera as we are walking out the door.
Great shot, Janet. It’s amazing, the beauty that is around us every day.
Very true, Emilio. Having a camera around, whether phone or other, helps make us more aware of that, I think. If I could just somehow get a camera embedded in my head…
I think Google is working on it.
Probably.
It probably takes you as long to take a walk as it does me…always stopping to photograph spiders…or doors or windows. This is a lovely shot…the rain drops are very cool!
It can take a very long time, that’s for sure. Periodically, I take my Nikon and just go to the park or elsewhere for a photo walk, knowing I won’t be getting any serious exercise. On other days, I resolutely walk…unless that perfect shot shows itself. 🙂
janet
Cool…I wish I had that discipline to walk, or move, or something
Excellent composition.
Stunning and a great choice for ‘pure’.
Thanks so much, Jules, especially for taking the time to comment as well as like the shot.
janet
indeed, diamonds of mother nature! grate capture !
I can’t stop taking shots of drops on webs. 🙂
janet
🙂
Very very beautiful click.
Thanks and thanks for visiting and commenting.

Just fabulous!
Thanks, Susi. Spider webs with drops on them catch me every time. 🙂
janet
Janet, this is just incredible! 🙂
Thanks, Yousuf. I’m so happy you like it.
I really do. 🙂
Pure and perfect Janet
Thanks!
It’s so amazing that something so tiny and fragile can be captured so beautifully! Great choice for the challenge 🙂 -Amy
Thanks, Amy. It’s incredible to see hundreds of these webs and then the next day, not be able to spot any, as the drops are gone. 🙂
janet
Really wonderful take on pure – and I have never seen a web like this – nice walk indeed!
I’m sorry you’ve missed the experience! That day, as on other rainy or dewy days, the prairie part of the park was filled with them, but not all close enough to the path to photograph. Truly a joy.
janet
😉
Spiderwebs are always interesting subjects to take pictures of when it comes to clinging water droplets.
I agree, Jeri.
janet
You take awesome photos.
Thank you very much. You made my morning with that lovely compliment. 🙂 Thanks for following and I hope you continue to enjoy the blog.
