Fabulous, Janet! I love these creatures. 🙂
What are those odd lights in the background? Are they just bright clouds or something else? Whatever they are, they aren’t putting the dragonflies off doing their thing!
Incredible capture! I like how they are positioned facing the same direction, like the way sailboats moored in a bay will all face the same direction based on wind and wave movement, or birds on a wire looking in the same direction, too.
Wow! What an incredible sight! It’s rare to capture a single dragonfly, let alone five at once. They’re truly stunning creatures, and that blue is simply unearthly. It’s amazing to think that something so vibrant exists in nature.
That color is what’s so amazing about them. Just found out their damselflies not dragonflies, so I’ve changed the title but whichever, they’re quite something.
wow, what a catch!
Thanks, Beth. It definitely made me happy. 🙂
Oh what a fantastic photo. I am always trying to capture these little creatures. You certainly did a great job getting this group.
Thanks, Peggy. Had to have the camera for this, not the phone.
Yes, I still use my camera a lot. Can’t zoom in enough on the phone.
I tend to use my phone for closer shots and the telephoto on my camera. Sometimes I take closeups with my telephoto but from about 6′ away. 🙂
Wonderful! It looks like a conductor and four musicians are tuned up and ready to play.
🙂 Maybe the one on its own is the conductor.
Great capture!
Thanks, Sue. I got other ones that day but never this many together.
You did well!

Just some out-of-focus things floating in the lake. I love dragonflies and these are so colorful!
Ah, I see! I can see the stems popping up out of the water now! 🙂
And they are lovely creatures… occasionally we have those blue ones visiting here
I like all dragonflies but the color of these is my favorite.
Wonderful composition, Janet. They look like a squadron ready to go!
They do, that’s for sure. Great color for a squadron of helicopters. 🙂
Now there’s a sight I don’t thnk I’ve ever seen. Have a good weekend, Janet.
This was the most I saw together like this. They’re such a beautiful color.
As some say, timing is important.
It reminds me of an airport all stacked up ready to go or stay in for the night. Wonderful sighting and catch, Janet! 💙
That’s a good comparison, Deborah. I love the color of these little guys and was working hard at getting good photos of them.
You got a great image of them!
Great capture!
Thanks, Robert.

Beautiful, Janet – they makes me smile. And long for spring! Thank you damselflies!
They’re little beauties, that’s for sure.

Wow, you get the best shots! Have to be always on the ready.
I was out on a walk around the lake with camera and phone at the ready. 🙂
Wow! What a stunning shot.
Thanks, Amy! I just found out they’re damselflies, not dragonflies, so I’ve updated the title, but whatever sort of flies, their color is amazing.
Thank you, Janet!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

🙂 Dear Janet,
what an amazing photo! How big are they approximately?
Have a very HAPPY weekend!
Claudia xo 🙂
Guten tag, Claudia. They’re only a few inches long but that blue really makes them stand out.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.

I struggle to catch even one. They don’t stay still for long. This is amazing.
There were quite a few of them, but often they’re in flight as you say so I was thrilled to capture these.
I managed to catch one yesterday, it was a red coloured one
It looks like they’re doing some sort of dance! What a shot!
Thanks very much, JT. 🙂
Janet, this is a stunning photo!
Thanks, Aletta. I just love that blue color and even when so small, it pops.
Absolutely!
wow what a capture – fantastic 🙂
Thanks, Becky. Have to say I’m going to be sad when odds is over. There’s so much scope for choices. 🙂
You’re have to join in with oddballs! Think that one is still going weekly 🙂
I have been and have oddballs until the end of the month, Becky. Just sad it will be over so soon. 😁
Oops. Not thinking. Who’s doing oddballs?Cee?
It was Cee, but think she has handed it over. Will check with her
What a beautiful group. Well positioned and nicely taken.
Thanks, Sandy. Wasn’t it nice of them to pose for me like that?😉. Thanks for taking the time to comment as well as visit.

A lovely visit Janet.
Sweet shot, even though it looks like an alien invasion. Lol!
They do look like aliens but beautifully colored ones.
Love the colour!!!!!!
Me too!
Capturing coolness!
Thanks, Donna. Small but beautiful.
