There is nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse.
~John Lubbock, “Recreation,” The Use of Life, 1894
The Weekly Photo Challenge theme is “Morning” and this is typical of my morning view the last week. I have one more day here in Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, one more ride, then I’ll be on a two-day road trip back home to Illinois, a long distance in almost every way from Wyoming.
I haven’t been online much and won’t be for some days yet, due to having so much to do here as well as weak a/o intermittent internet connections, then because I’ll be traveling, and, finally, because I’ll be working more than usual. Thanks for hanging in there with me and my lack of reciprocity.
Enjoy the view, my “Morning” view.
To ride a horse is to ride the sky.

Nice shot……🌷
Thanks.

What a great way to start your day, pity it’s ending.
I agree wholeheartedly! 🙂 But it’s a blessing to be able to be here at all.
janet
I love your quotes and a lovely photo
Thanks, Sheila. I love that you took the time to visit and comment. 🙂

Enjoy that findl day. I love the photo looking over your horse 🙂
One of the things you can do with a phone, which I carry on my rides in a fanny pack, is (carefully) take a shot now and then while riding. I’ll enjoy the day as much as possible and carry the thoughts with me on the drive home.
janet
Nice. I’m there with you, smelling the air, visually digesting the day, and swaying in the saddle. Thanks, Randy
Hopefully on your own horse, though, Randy. Hard to ride double. 🙂 Hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did.

Janet so incredibly beautiful! What a wonderful way to spend the morning. I bet you’ve had a lovely time! Wyoming is such a beautiful place!
Nicole, I love it here and, funny as it seems, I also love the drive to and from home to here. I love seeing the land change and the varied beauty of it, although I admit to feeling sad when the Bighorns grow smaller and smaller in my rearview mirror!
I can hear the clop clop of hooves on trail. Must say I admire your get-away and love of exploring wilderness on horseback. Summer is a time to break out of the normal pattern, so you have no need to apologize as far as this blogger is concerned!!!
I’ve been coming up here every summer since college with the exception of two years. I love it! I’m not apologizing, just explaining why I’m not reading and commenting on other people’s blogs, which is something I try to do the rest of the year. But as you say, vacations are different. 🙂
Wonderful moment captured.
Glad you could peek into my morning, Victoria. 🙂
janet
Indeed a unique view of morning this is.
Happy you could be a part of it, Hammad.

Oh such a sweet picture. What a way to start your day! Hope you have been well Janet. Wish you all the best with your traveling and work.
Much love,
Zee ❤
Great to hear from you, Zee. I’ve been well and enjoying my week in the mountains. Getting ready to head back tomorrow, but I could stay for a month. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the photo and hope all’s well with you, too.
janet
Oh man ! I could stay forever in mountains too….what’s better than that! ^_^
Have a great week ahead Janet ❤ 🙂
You as well,, Zee.

Looks like a great way to spend a morning. I haven’t been on a horse in years.
It’s a great way to spend any part of the day, Karen. I’ve loved horses my whole life and to ride them here is the best.

Looks like a lot of fun, Janet. Have a safe trip home.
Ω
It was a wonderful time, Allan. At my motel for tonight and only about 7 hours to go tomorrow, which is not much at all.
janet
How long is that in Horse Hours?
Ω
Still 7 hours, just not as far. 🙂

It’s a view I love to see but don’t see often enough.

…and what a wonderful view!!
It truly is. The whole area is full of these wonderful views and from the back of a horse–even better.
