Gates are good and doors are good, but the combination is even better. These are from Baja California.
Boundaries are good, but without a gate, all that you have are fences.

Be an opener of doors.

There are so many doors to open. I am impatient to begin.

If you’d like to see more doors, grab your passport and pop up to Montreal where Norm is our host. Feel free to join us if you’d like. We’d a-door having you stop by. 🙂
Ha ha – nice pun, Janet! I love iron gates, and that’s a sweet looking door behind the arched gate.
I love gates like this, too, Dan. Combined with lovely doors, they’re even better. 🙂
Great gates. Love the tile work on the first one.
Lots of nice tile work there, too. 🙂

Great examples of your topic, Janet. It reminded me of the slogan on a T-shirt from the mid-nineties when Oracle had a big Java software convention in SF: In a world without fences who needs Gates?

Love that saying, Allan. We were in SF some years ago (but not that long ago) for one of those Oracle conventions. My husband attended sessions while I enjoyed walking all over the area. The funniest part to me what when Larry Ellison was giving the opening speech, which most people couldn’t get in to see. We were all standing outside and everyone but me seemed to be looking up at the jumbotron to hear him, looking for all the world like the shots in the movies of earthlings listening to the aliens taking over the world. I laughed so hard. 🙂
A perfect description of Jumbotrons and their fans.

Lovely trio!
Thanks, Manja.

Beautiful ironwork and tiles, Janet.
Thanks very much, Jean.
Nice finds Janet. I love the accompanying quotes too. I remember Flowers For Algernon being a wonderful read in my teenage years.
