Wonderful – aside from being envious of the snow, so is a picture of my “odd” fantasy – loves illogical patterns, but gets so tired of boring predictable patterns – this belongs to the first kind. 😀
I’ve taken many photos from this same spot, in all seasons, because it’s such an inviting place, beckoning me to walk there and discover…what? Perhaps it’s the way to Narnia, who knows?
Isn’t that breath- taking. I love walking by or visiting such beauty.. There are a lot of green spaces in and around our city… Winter time, some summer pathways become X-country ski trails, beautiful!
You’re very welcome, Dan. I feel but if you live somewhere where there are four seasons, there should be plenty of snow in the winter. I’m sure not everyone agrees with me, but that’s OK. It was nice that this wasn’t kind of snow that’s so heavy that it breaks a lot of branches or brings down wires, but was just considerate enough to stay on everything and look beautiful. ❄️❄️❄️❄️
Makes me think of Narnia as well, although I could do without the White Witch. Perhaps just the Turkish Delight and if in the area, baklava would be appreciated as well. 🙂
I’ve only seen a beaver once and it was swimming, not talking. Unless a lion can be tricky enough sound like geese, I’d have to say not. More’s the pity.

Like a winter wonderland
It was!

Green spaces in the city are such a blessing. The Chicago area has many of them and this one is fortunately only minutes from our house.

That’s my favorite winter look – the fairy painted trees!
🥰. We are kindred spirits in this!

Yes, the frosted trees make life feel magical.
And this snow wasn’t heavy enough to break off limbs, so I could enjoy it without a qualm.
So pretty but I feel cold!
😁🎂💕
I think what I miss most about having snow is the way it settles on every branch in the forest. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scene, Janet.

I agree with your thinking about four seasons.
This is so beautiful. I keep expecting the White Witch to appear on her sleigh — preferably bearing a box of Turkish Delight.

Ooh yes to baklava. In fact she needs to move with the timers and offer some raw vegan bliss balls, gluten, dairy and sugar-free options …. 🤣🤣
That works for me, too. 🙂
Wow! That’s so gorgeous. 🙂
Thanks. It was!
Was there a wardrobe with a bunch of fur coats behind you while you were taking this picture, Janet?
🥰. I could have used a fur coat, as there was some wind and it was still snowing just a bit. My face got pretty cold but I still loved every minute.
So no lion roaring in the distance either? Or talking beavers?
I’ve only seen a beaver once and it was swimming, not talking. Unless a lion can be tricky enough sound like geese, I’d have to say not. More’s the pity.
That’s a relief, Janet. I was scared you might’ve trespassed on the lands of a very cruel Queen…

This is a fantastic photo of a wintry path, Janet.
Thanks, Jet, and you can enjoy it without even getting cold or wet. 🙂
