I’ve missed two weeks of Thursday Doors and it gave me withdrawal symptoms. With-door-al symptoms? Anyway, this trio of doors is from a galaxy far, far away called Archives, when we still lived in Illinois, in a time when masks were only worn on Halloween or by some people in hospitals, and during a season when the air was warm and flowers bloomed.
for Thursday Doors 11.12.20
Enjoyed the lovely doors. Ah – to go back to a better time in our world. Will life ever ben the same again! Love the bright colored flowers in these photos.
I hope we’ll get back to that life at some point, Peggy.
I love all the variety of doors – especially the old doors in Europe. But that glass door in your opener is one I like in the modern world.
That door was on a lovely stone building, too. 🙂
“With-door-al symptoms?” I love it!
You can visit the archives any time you like. Great doors.
Glad you enjoyed them, Dan. A simpler time.
These are lovely doors. I also like those long ago days.
I’m glad you enjoyed them, Roberta.

Bravo! I love the little mailbox in the first shot and the lovely pale yellow tones in the last one.
Sometimes the details are even better than the doors. I’m glad you liked them, Norm. 🙂
Great doors Janet! We do not really have a variety of doors where I live!
We don’t here, either, which is why I pretty much use archive shots from Philadelphia, France, and sometimes, like here, from Illinois.
At least you have archives😊
True. 😉
Very nice doors with lovely accessories. I like the pottery vase and the mailbox in the first one.
That first door is something else! I bet light beaming out of it at night is something to see. Your archives are fun.
I bet you’re right, Ally. I’ll probably be doing archives for ages as the doors here are mostly uninteresting and I haven’t gone much of anywhere with doors.
I like your second door, looks like an outside folding one, interesting.
It was a door for a backyard building much like a fancy barn. 🙂
Beautiful selections, Janet! I like the second image.
Glad you enjoyed them, Amy. There were some pretty doors in Naperville, although many of them were very posh, which I’m a bit ambivalent about. I tend to like the shabby chic doors of Europe, but no trip this year.
Nice ones. 🙂
Thanks very much, Judy. 🙂
Yes Janet, at the moment “from the archives” is what we can do to stay safe. These are lovely finds especially with the red flowers.
And there aren’t many interesting doors where we live. 🙂
I bet you’ll find something haha. but if not, then archives it is!
Doesn’t bother me to use the archives. 🙂
Yea I know, we are all in the same boat. Have a good day Janet!
You as well, Teresa.
Enjoyed the doors: the pun even more
Thanks for both, Su. 🙂
lovely doors, Janet 🙂
I’m glad you enjoyed them, Wilma. 🙂
Love the doors on the balcony and the iron balustrade/fence(?) don’t know what the right word is here:) . Wonder if you feel you live galaxies away, or you wished you would live galaxies away (rhetorical!). Have a great weekend, Jesh
I know what you mean, Jesh. BTW, did you get my email about your email address possibly being hacked? I got a spam message from you.
Yes, sorry, it took me a while to catch on, since the first complaint I got from hubby and we both have our email on there. But I changed my password from email and blog yesterday. Hopefully that will do it …
Good. I hope so.
Please let me know if you get another spam message. After your first mention of hacking I remembered I also should change another email that I only use on the Ipad, nevertheless, it’s the same email company:(
I’ll let you know if I do. Good luck.
You find the most interesting doors. Loved them …
Naperville has some very nice doors, although I didn’t take photos of as many as I should have. You know how you tend to ignore your own surroundings? But I also felt a bit odd taking photos of doors in homes where I felt someone might be at home and wonder what the heck I was doing taking photos of their house! 🙂
Oh My … that’s so true. Imagine if someone came out yelling at you. YIKES … !!! I know I’d run. I feel the same way about people photos. I usually wait until they’re sideways or walking away. Although, I’d sure like to capture some of those wacky outfits they wear from the front. I’ll wait until after COVID to venture out for some of those photographs. Happy Discovering of doors and nature. Izzy 😎
My daughter recently dubbed pre pandemic times as “the Before Time”. I wonder if that’s the new label we’ll give it? Great door archive retrieval!
It’s possible. I think many call it names that aren’t nearly as nice. 😉
I’m sure that’s true lol
lol… the galaxy of Illinois!
Fab doors!
🙂 Glad you liked them, Resa.
