  5. With the state of the bee population, it brings joy whenever I see one of these miraculous creatures. Your capture really shows the detail on the wing and the pollen on its head. I adore that in images of insects. Dickinson’s poem is a perfect addition. Happy Photo Challenge.

    A lovely capture of a polleny bee, Janet. It’s too cold for bees in my garden at the moment, though did see one today but none of my attempts to photograph it worked! Well done – it’s not easy.

    • Thank goodness for camera phones, Christine. I wouldn’t have been carrying my big camera through the city that day. I, too, was pleased with the way it turned out.

  14. Nicely captured with striking color.
    Poor bees …they are being disoriented by sound waves of phones and high rise buildings . With their population dwindling to about 50% in some countries … may not be able to capture great shots like this in time to come. And who or what will pollinate flowers.? Poor flowers too…..

    • I share your concerns, Rose. I’m hopeful with more and more people aware of the problems, we’ll be able to turn things around, even if it’s slowly.
