COB Photo Challenge 2016, Week 16…lamp light

This oddball photo shows off the stenciling on a lamp shade.  The punched holes create a beautiful look, but  the combination of brown shade and small holes doesn’t allow much light to escape.

    I like it! Very clever!

  2. margademmers says:

It’s beautiful! I like the way you captured the light coming through in combination with the soft brown of the lamp shade. Lovely!

  3. Dan Antion says:

Nice job capturing this. I’ve seen these shades before, and you’re right, not the lamp you want to read by.

    • I like a lot of light, so I find this type of lamp frustrating. This one at least is pretty, but many as just about useless, with no redeeming features except to keep us from completely darkness.

That’s a very interesting lamp shade. Never saw one with holes. Very pretty though

    Cool capture, Janet.

    I’ve always loved those shades.

  9. I had a friend about 15 years ago that used to do this type of craft. Lovely …
