Stop! Time out! No political talk. It’s too late. Voting has begun and will continue relentlessly until it’s all over, finally!
Let’s jettison the negativity and instead, let’s assume an attitude of gratitude. Some of my friends and acquaintances are listing one thing each day for which they’re thankful. Let’s try that. I’m going to start and I’d like everyone who reads this post to list in a comment at least one thing for which they’re thankful. It will do all our spirits good and is a great way to start or end a day.
I’m thankful for:
my family
a great church family
a great work family
a great blogging community
books
good food
travel
photography
thrift stores
being outdoors
having a place in Wyoming
horses.
OK, it’s your turn. I want to hear from you and I want all the positive noise to crowd out everything else for just a bit.
I am grateful for my family, my fabulous children, a wonderful husband, our life in France, the great outdoors, friends, so much to be grateful for, let’s all be positive – great idea. x
Susan, thanks for adding to the list. You have much for which to be thankful, too. Blessings on your day.

You wise, wise woman! If we spent more time remembering to feel grateful, we’d all be happier and healthier. My list would be much like yours, Janet. but there are very particular things too. I am grateful each day, and through the day for the view of the sky behind my house; the way things grow in unexpected places; the way my caches of last year’s leaves are turning into wonderful loamy earth; for the veggies that continue to grow in my polytunnel through the winter. And then the really big things like being able to live in a safe and beautiful place where I meet so many like-minded people; that I have a home with more than everything I need including the very best of companions; for a world with so much wonder and diversity.
Tish, I completely agree that keeping gratitude and thankfulness at the forefront of our minds each day would result in a much better life for all of us and the health point is well-taken. I do so love having met people like you in this blogging world and had I wished to make my list even longer, I would have included that and the “particular” things you beautiful list. SO much to thank God for daily. I hope your day has gone wonderfully and thanks for chiming in.

I’m grateful that I have good health, breathe fresh air, see the sky uncluttered by buildings and live in a country that’s peaceful and free. I’m grateful that I have family to cuddle and who cuddle me!
Those things are all true blessings. I’m glad you took part in the listing. Blessings on your day.

grateful for this day and all that God has given me and us, the ability to listen, feel, see, and act. The ability to be part of life. The love of my wife and family, and all the toys that have been provided us, but most of all I am grateful for hope, the promise of today and tomorrow, the vision of what may and can come for the good of all.
Hi ya, Janet.
Randy, that last is so important. Thanks for being a part of my blogging world and for adding to the list today. May it be a wonderful day for you.

Ah, something positive to dwell on as I sit with the TV in the ‘off’ mode to protect my well being. 🙂 Every day when I wake up, I’m thankful. I’m particularly thankful for faith, family, friends, my blogging friends, the outdoors so I can garden, traveling, photography, a working sewing machine, and maybe a good dessert thrown in. Thanks, Janet.
Great list, Judy. I meant to tell you that the seeds arrived. Planting instructions would be greatly appreciated and thank you so very much! I’m excited. I’m thankful for weather that allowed me to work in short sleeves yesterday for two hours in the yard, trying to get done what should have been done week by week. 🙂 Thanks for being part of my blogging world and for chiming in on today’s post.

They are annuals and can be started inside or outside – I have done both. They need some type of backdrop to grow up like a trellis. The leaves are pretty, the purple flowers are lovely, and the seeds, well the sees look like little tuxedos. Hope they grow for you.
It’s still early in the morning. I’m grateful I woke up this morning, the sun is shining, and the coffee was strong and hot 🙂
I WOULD BE very, very grateful if Husband could somehow manage to ignore the news all day 😉
Good morning, Joanne, and thanks for playing. I’m not a coffee drinker, but it’s National Cappuccino Day today and a nearly market is offering theirs at half price, so I’m sipping mine while trying to catch up on comments and others blogs before going to work. Thankfully, work will keep me away from all news. Tonight (if I’m even still up) or tomorrow morning will be soon enough to know. Glad you’re part of my blogging circle and blessings on your day.

I too am grateful for you and all the other wonderful people in my blogging circle. When I started out on this adventure 3 years ago, I had no idea it would blossom into the thoughtful and caring community of friends I have found around the world.
Best wishes for a great day! xx
It’s one of the best parts. I love actually meeting fellow bloggers in person, too.
Me too. I’ve been lucky enough to meet several and each one has been a treat 🙂
I am grateful for my family and relative good health.
Both very, very important things. As we get older, health becomes something to cherish each day. As my dad says, “Getting old isn’t for sissies!” I’m glad I’ve met you through blogging and pray that you have a wonderful day.
janet
Thanks Janet. I am very glad to have met you, too.
Believe it or not, I’m (usually) grateful for the aging process. With every day that passes, I take less for granted.
🙂 Jan, I’m thankful that I got to meet you and Steve in person and I enjoy your thoughts and blog very much. Not to hassle you in any way, but I’m looking forward to the sequel, whenever it comes out. 🙂 Thanks for adding a blessing and have a marvelous day!

I’m grateful for all of the blessings in my life.
I’m grateful for my hubby who has been by my side, supportive and loving for 51 years.
Life is good.
I’m grateful for you, Janet, a blogging buddy I’ve met and have enjoyed knowing.
Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Izzy 😎
Good list, Izzy. I’m grateful for getting to meet you online, too. Hope your day was great.
😎
I am most thankful for my faith, for a loving and forgiving God who holds this world, this country, me and everyone in the palm of His hands, has everything in control regardless of what is happening elsewhere, and most importantly for his son, Jesus Christ, my savior, redeemer and king.
The most important of all things, Joyce.
janet
I’m grateful for freedom!
Me, too, Nicole. Thanks for mentioning that.

Today I’m feeling very grateful for sunshine. I’m not up to going out, but I can enjoy the view from my window. I’m grateful for a home when I know so many of my countrymen and women are sleeping in their cars. I’m grateful for health insurance that allows me to get treatment for my knee sooner rather than later. I’m very grateful for the love and support of the Big T and of my blogging whanau. You all rock!
Su, I’ve really loved getting to know you a bit more via blogging. Thanks for a wonderful list of blessings!
janet
🙂 Very good to concentrate on the positive, dear Janet!
I’m grateful for having a wonderful family (even if don’t always have the same opinion),
I’m grateful for truly nice colleagues,
I’m grateful for having met and still meeting nice bloggers all around the world.
Stay positive and have a beautiful day xo 🙂
I was so grateful it wasn’t raining and I could go outside the past few days ( and the Weather Channel has hours of lovely scenery of water, leaves, mountains, and waterfalls on all day yesterday. Been staying away from all screens large and small, so reading now to catch up!)
Great post
Staying away from screens was something I did for the most part, too. It’s always good to get outside, so I’m glad you could get out, too. Thanks for blowing in to leave a comment. 🙂
