Believe it or not, there are still doors in Plombieres that I haven’t photographed or shared. 🙂 So today I’m taking a three-door bite out of that batch and sharing a trio of doors-heretofore-never-featured-on-Thursday-Doors doors. Doorn-it! How did that happen? But as Dan loves to hear, no worries, mate! They are now no longer door-mant, but join the ranks of featured-on-Thursday-Doors doors.
But you can find even more splen-doors over at the home of our a-door-able leader from Montreal, Norm. Click on the blue link critter to get your door en-door-phins raging. Don’t be a door-k! Put on your fe-door-a and come visit the corri-doors of the world with us.
wow – that grille worke is BLUE!!
It’s eye-catchingly beautiful, Maggie. 🙂

I like random doors, Janet. And, I’m with Maggie on this one – that blue grill is amazing!
Don’t get all up in my grill, Dan, even if it is blue. 🙂 I agree, that blue is striking.
Ha ha. Ok, I’ve been warned.
An a-door-able trio. 🙂
One of my favorite Thursday Doors puns, Lignum. Thanks for dropping by. The door’s always open on Thursdays.

I absolutely love the first one. I had a kitchen in those colours in our old house.
There’s just something so attractive about a blue of that color. 🙂
janet
My a-door-ation for your explor-door-ation knows no boun-door-ies.
That’s the spirit, Holly! ❤️
janet
Beautiful and great history here too.
One of the reasons my s-i-l and I love this spot, Laura.
janet
You are fascinated by doors and their individuality.
I was very glad to find this challenge, Sally. I like windows, too. 🙂
janet
Wow, someone let go with the blue paint! An excellent background door to the rather interesting water spout gargoyle type thing( I can’t think of a name for it) I presume it’s rather old? I like the last one too…
Yes, I imagine it’s rather old, but I have not idea how old. I like that water spout, too.
janet
All good choices 🙂
Merci, Joey.

Love that first one, with the great fountain as a bonus, Janet. 🙂 🙂
I guess that’s one advantage of your door being right on the public street, Jo. 🙂 You get this fabulous fountain right in front of it.
Am with Jo, where do you find a door with a fountain? Wonder if people whose first language is not English, get the “door-k” (smile) – I only know that one because of my kids. They used that word quite a lot in their teens:)
Jesh, the fountain was right along the public square where the market was held and where the square turned into a narrow street. So that person’s house was simply close to the street. 🙂
janet
Ah, got ya!
The BLUE wins for me….but the sealed off, no way in or out, altar is interesting too. 🙂
The gates to the altar open, Jeanne. It’s right along the main street and we saw it open once. Someone takes care of the flowers, etc., inside.

My goodness, that blue is so vibrant. Great photos, Janet.
Thanks, Jean. That blue is eye-catching, isn’t it? It might be overwhelming if there were other colors around it. But it works here, I think.
janet
Loving the grilles! But that water spout …
There are all sorts of beautiful spouts throughout France, Su, making life so much more enjoyable. 🙂
janet
I get that. I do think that when everyday objects can be made beautiful and interesting, they should be! 🙂
I like that idea, too, although I understand when people can’t afford the more artistic ones.
Yes; luckily good design isn’t always expensive.
Beautiful selection!
I’m glad you like them, Angela. Thanks for stopping by.
janet
Very interesting snaps these are, Janet
Thanks a lot, Hammad.

I love that blue grill and fountain, but your narrative! How you worked in so many door words is brilliant! 🙂
I have a secret which I’ll share. I look up online “words with dor in them”, which generates a big list. Then I dip in, substituting “door” for “dor” and voila! 🙂 Door-n it! Now everyone will know how easy it is.
janet
Clever! 🙂
😁😁😁
You have an eye for doors, Janet. You fantastic at finding so many unique ones. I must say the blue wrought iron would look stunning as a double door entrance on a home. The fountain is interesting too. Is it for the public to use? The last photo looks like its from a church. All very nicely captured.
Izzy 😎
Yes, it’s a public fountain. It’s no hardship to find great doors in this and many other French towns. There’s are lots of attractive doors in the US, too, but these are different and also we’re used to ours, so they don’t seem as interesting, I think. And there can be much older buildings and doors there.
In my neighborhood, the doors are very ordinary. I’ll be on vacation starting the end of July. I’m going to be on the lookout for doors as my photo challenge. : )
Keep an eye out, Issy. You never know what you’ll find. Of course the doors in the US tend to look quite different from those in France but I’m sure you’ll find some good ones. I’ll be on vacation the first three weeks of August, so no blogging. Have a great vacation!
janet
I’ll be on a cruise to the carribbean. Key West, Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel, Mexico and Grand Cayman’s. I might find some interesting ones on those port. We’ll be on the Celebrity Equinox. A ship we’ve been on 3 times. We adore it. We’re cruiser 16 with thisone. No media is a blessing and a time to rest. But, I’ll always have my camera in hand. Have FUN on your vacation. Be happy … Be safe … Be in love … XOXOXO
Have a wonderful time!! I’ve never been to those places or on a cruise, so I’ll look forward to reading about yours. I’m sure you’ll find some great doors in some of those places. Yes, I look forward to the media break, even though I love blogging. I blogged every day for five years before deciding to take breaks while on vacation and I love it.
Rest, regenerate and relax …. maybe, read too. LOL
Great collection of doors.
Thanks very much, Judy. Is it hot out there?
janet
It’s nice today after about three days of high temps and high humidity – a little sultry for New England. 🙂
What an amazing compilation!! Thanks for sharing such unusual sightings Janet.
Cheers, Charu
My pleasure, Charu. Thanks for the visit and comment. I really enjoy finding all these doors as well as scenery, so I’m always happy when people enjoy them.
The blue really pops in that first shot Janet. Excellent choices and some good groan-worthy puns as well 😉
Nothing like a good pun, Norm. 🙂 Hope your week’s off to a great start and thanks so much for hosting Thursday Doors. It’s one of my favorite challenges.
