Flat but oh so soothing and beautiful.
It was rather lovely and quite a change from my usual scenery, especially the fog and clouds. 🙂

An interesting take on the word.
The whole view seem to epitomize the word flat for me. The sand and beach were flat, the water at that point was flat, and the gray seemed to make the sky and feel of the day flat.

Misty day, I do enjoy them!
It was a nice change for me because we have sunshine almost every day of the year and not really days like this at all. But our daughter and son-in-law live very close to the beach, so the weather (and humidity) is quite different.
I do remember missing different skies when I lived in Las Vegas, blue all the time 🙂 how boring ! 😀
