If I didn’t respond to someone’s comment during the last three days, it probably ended up in my spam folder where I found 222 spam comments which I deleted batch by batch. If yours was hidden there somewhere, my apologies. I haven’t been on my laptop to find them since arriving in California.
Fun title, Janet. 🙂
I’m not sure if I’ve commented on your blog recently, but I’ve noticed I’ve left comments in other places that have gone unanswered; I thought it was something I’d said, but it’s possible I could’ve been flung into the spam folder. You’ve made me make a note to check my spam folder more often, just in case I’m missing any comments on my blog… it does feel like you’re being ignored, which isn’t really the best.
Happy Saturday, Janet! 🙂
In the last several months I’ve just been bombarded by spam! I normally check two or three times a day, but just haven’t gotten to it in the last few days. If I have 60 or 70, I check each group before deleting to make sure there’s not a real comment in there about 222, I just couldn’t do it. 😉
Your reply has just reminded me I’d forgotten to check my spam folder 🙄! There were only two comments there, neither of them spam. It sounds like you’re taking the spam for everyone right now! 🙂 (That’s not really a good thing, though😶)
I have no idea why I’m so popular but I’d rather not be. 😬
🤣
Oh, clever!
Thanks, Sue.
😂
😎
I’ve also had a lot of spam lately!
It’s quite annoying to have to check and delete it all the time.
I know, lately I’ve got to do it almost daily!
Very clever – I’ve posted a few lone gloves in my time and never thought of that title
I’m glad you liked this one, Debbie. 😉
Love that clever pun. 🙂
Thanks, John. I always like to have a clever title is possible and this one was, well, handy. 😁
every so often I find one of my readers in my spam and I fish it back out)
I don’t think I missed any this time thankfully.
You’re so clever and witty with your captions!
WP is being weird lately. I’ve found comments in my spam too, and one blogger told me my comment s were ending up in her spam folder. I hope you have it sorted out now. 222 is a lot of comments to approve!
Aww, shucks. Thanks. 🥰
😍
I just permanently deleted them one batch at a time.
LOL! 🌞
🤭😎
Gotta love when spam filters make things more difficult instead of easier, which is often…
But at least they’re catching it and it’s not ending up in my comments!
Delete away! Just enjoy yourself.
I definitely am. 🥰
Mine’s are tied up in Sunday’s relaxing mode 🙂
Good for you. Enjoy.
LOL, perfect Janet! Count yourself lucky on the spam. I clean mine out every week and it’s always in the hundreds. Unfortunately you have to review every batch rather than miss someone’s comment 🤬
Marsha just mentioned that she closes comments after 30 days and doesn’t get much spam. It’s a thought.
Sadly I clear mine weekly so the 30-day comment probably wouldn’t help. Typically it’s 3 or 4 commenters who post 30 or 40 times per post. Fortunately the spam blocker keeps them out of m y posts.
I closed comments on posts older than 30 days. That has cut my spam comments back to almost zero. I had 12 in the past two weeks and five of them were not spam, just short comments by friends. One had a comment almost a page long of pure garbage.
Hmmm, maybe something I should try. Where do you close comments?
Go into the discussion tab on your home page under general settings. You will have that option. Also you can open or close comments on each post.
Ha! I love it!
🙂 Thanks, Dan.
OMG! It’s a gnarled northern starfish.
Love the capture!
Ha! Glad you enjoyed it, Resa.
Well it’s a rare sub-species of starfish. It’s not every day one gets peek at one.
Very true. Even Wikipedia doesn’t know of it!!
Hahaha! If I added it to their starfish page, it would be there forever. One never knows what they can glean on line. Best to have a mind of one’s own, and check all info. Hey, I still have books!
Books??? ❤️❤️
LOLOLOLOL!!!! xoxoxo
